Family Man, Businessman and Community Advocate

For over 20 years, Patrick Von Dohlen has been a proactive member of the San Antonio community, including the North SA Chamber, focused on engaging with local businesses and organizations as well as with municipal entities in an effort to positively affect Quality of Life issues. Since 2010, he has attended hundreds of city council meetings, Citizens to be Heard sessions and committee gatherings, as a private citizen and community advocate, in an effort to represent the average taxpayer in San Antonio.


His leadership, along with the efforts of countless concerned citizens, has led to numerous victories for San Antonio residents to include:

Successfully petitioned the city to amend its charter and require that any streetcar or light rail proposal be approved by a citizen vote

Successfully worked with Mayor, City Council and Zoning Commission board members to protect and preserve local neighborhoods and promote property rights through proper zoning adherence

Successfully worked with Mayor and City Council during budgeting process to increase accountability and transparency
