NEISD Board Will Decide Tonight Whether to Rename Robert E. Lee High School

For the second time in the past two years, the North East Independent School District Board will consider changing the name of Robert E. Lee High School in a special meeting this evening.
Changing the school’s name has come up again because of voices and efforts across the country who want Lee and his legacy moved to what they consider “more appropriate venues.” Their opponents believe this is washing away history.
The board will make a decision without hearing public opinion from either side, since, according to Aubrey Chancell
or of the NEISD, “The board has a very clear idea of where people stand on this issue. They read each every email they receive. They take this very seriously. They’re giving it a lot of thought once again and I think they feel they have all the information to make a good decision. The best decision for this district.ā€

Ironically, the NEISDĀ administration allowed a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood at Robert E. Lee High School in Spring of 2017, but now wants to change the name of the school because it is “racist.”

Which entity is the real racist, one who never purchased a slave or the one in the business of killing racial minorities?

You cannot be both “Pro-Choice” and Anti-Racist.
